Case Studies

Curve appeal

This stunning kitchen in Pebble Grey matt lacquer and Nut Tree wood veneer, features a striking curved oak breakfast bar with the shape echoed in the molded ceiling.

There are a wealth of Gaggenau appliances in the kitchen, while an integrated +STAGE bar unit, conveniently located next to the dining table, incorporates a wine fridge and Zip filtered, sparkling, chilled and boiling water tap.

Behind the scenes a second kitchen and laundry room help make this space practical as well as beautiful.

Northampton makeover

Poggenpohl Birmingham was approached by Essenare Properties to design a replacement for a tired and dated kitchen in a Northamptonshire home.

To bring the space bang up to date, the designers at Poggenpohl suggested a +MODO kitchen in a combination of wood and matt lacquer with aluminium handles. The units are teamed with a composite stone worktop and selection of Siemens appliances, including induction hob and combination microwave, plus a Caple built in wine cooler. A particular feature is the floating cabinet with open shelf and glass back panel.

Family Kitchen

Designed by the team at Poggenpohl Birmingham this +MODO kitchen is in a warm Sand Grey finish with glass fronted natural wood pull out trays. The chunky polished stone worktop brings tactile, natural warmth to this space while the four Gaggenau ovens (including two single ovens, steam oven and microwave) make this a practical kitchen for the keen cook.

Poggenpohl Birmingham also fitted a separate utility room for the client, incorporating a washing machine and tumble dryer.

New for Old

When this client’s 20 year old Poggenpohl kitchen was damaged in a fire the designers at Poggenpohl Birmingham stepped in to not only replace what they had lost but exceed their expectations. The new kitchen accommodates the client’s previous storage requirements and functionality but also introduces the latest updates including pull out storage with a soft close system, touch to open cabinets and handle free design. The timeless kitchen aesthetic will look good for years to come.

Best of both worlds

Although this is a new build house it has a classic feel and so the client wanted a kitchen that could combine both traditional and modern references. The designers in the Birmingham studio suggested a +SEGMENTO kitchen in blossom white with natural wood accents, including built in planter, to create an inviting homely feel.

As well as the kitchen, which has a bronze mirror glass splashback and a range of Gaggenau appliances, the open plan space incorporates a seating area with drinks cabinet featuring built in coffee machine.

Edgbaston Restoration

The brief to Poggenpohl Birmingham was for a clean, streamlined look with accent textures and features. Here computer designs show the initial vision for the kitchen and the final photograph reveals how it looks.

The clients live in a Grade II listed Victorian house in Edgbaston, although previously used as an office the property has undergone a complete refurbishment resulting in a spacious family home. Showroom Manager Adam suggested matt white handle less Goldreif units with contrasting dark wood display shelves and black worktop. The ceiling above the units and peninsular was lowered to accommodate an extractor and targeted spot lights, while the mirrored glass splashback behind the sink helps to bounce light round the space and adds an interesting dynamic to the end wall. As well as concealing an old chimney breast, providing ample storage and incorporating a variety of cooking appliances the kitchen design links seamlessly into the adjacent dining area, allowing whoever is cooking to interact with family and friends.

Multi functional

This client asked for an open plan family space that could adapt for entertaining. Adam designed a welcoming Goldreif kitchen in Grigio matt lacquer with polished Silestone worktop. Appliances include Siemens microwave combination oven, warming drawer, wine cooler and induction hob. To create a uniform theme he also specified the dining table and bench seating to match the finish of the kitchen and added a grey mirror splashback to take the space from practical to glamorous when entertaining.

Desirable Warwick

Poggenpohl Birmingham designed and installed the kitchens for this niche residential property development of two and four bedroom homes in Warwick. The Streamlined kitchens, in a neutral stone palette with white Corian worktops, feature in the open plan ground floor living space
