Architect Dax Richer and Partners 4, Design designer, Nicole M. Sirek, Allied ASID incorporated a P'7340 Design by Studio F. A. Porsche kitchen into a stunning lake home on Lake Superior. "As the owner enjoys his Porsche cars, he decided to do a modern home and felt that this would be the perfect fit," states architect Dax Richer.
The kitchen highlights the P'7340's aluminum frame. Strong, simple and linear, its modularity is almost infinitely adaptable. Handle-less fronts emphasize the clean, uncompromised lines of the cabinetry. Assisted drawer openings operate at the touch of a finger, automatically gliding out a short distance. They close in response to a light push; a soft-close mechanism slows them down and automatically completes the closing cycle.
Since the house sits on Lake Superior, a glass piece was incorporated into the design to bring a water-like element into the space. LED lights brought in plenty of light, while the use of Dark Oak and Beige cabinetry contrast beautifully with the open, bright space.
Designer Nicole M. Sirek says that the owner wanted a "man's kitchen" but incorporated his and her sinks. Richer also incorporated the couple's love for color, using blue and red to mimic the red Porsche and garage. These colors are also repeated in several areas of the home.
