On Wednesday April 27, 2016, The New England Chapter of International Furnishings and Design (IFDA NE) sponsored Designed For Living, which was a tour of Boston's newest luxury multifamily properties. At a stop along the way, Poggenpohl Boston welcomed the designers to our showroom. Prosecco and chocolates were served during the reception. The tour reached full capacity, all members and guests were encouraged to register for the reception. Boston Coach provided transportation. Guests were able to see One Canal, the Lucas and the Jordan Lofts on their tour. As the IFDA NE Platinum sponsor we congratulate the board on planning and delivering a very successful event for our chapter. As part of Boston Design Week, Poggenpohl Boston hosted an entertaining cooking demonstration with Chef Kurt von Kahle. Guests in attendance were able to experience the cuisine of Chef von Kahle, New England's leading kitchen appliance consultant. He created culinary delights while using the Gaggenau CX491 full surface induction cooktop and accompanying wall oven in Poggenpohl's new P'7350 Design by Studio F. A. Poggenpohl Boston hosted an entertaining and educational evening about holiday cooking with Chef Bill on November 17, 2015. Techniques for transforming conventional foods into personal creations were covered to help the guests learn how to make their food stand out from the crowd. Specialty samples were brought for guests to enjoy, and they included: Lemon Butter Shrimp, Salmon Bisque, and Braised Biscuit Sliders.Read more about Cooking with Chef Bill Event
The American Society of Interior Designers' (ASID) New England Chapter held a historic welcome party called "Throw Tea in the Sea" for the Chapter Leadership Conference, in Boston Massachusetts. The event was attended by over 300 design professionals who dined on local fare at the Boston Tea Party Museum located in the Boston Harbor. Poggenphol helped sponsor this exciting event.
The Chapter Leadership Conference "is designed to keep volunteer leaders current on improvements, changes and new developments within ASID and the interior design profession."
The opening night festivities was the kick off of a weekend designed to provide: training for responsibilities of chapter officers, brainstorming sessions between peers and breakout discussion opportunities for attendees.

Rosemary Porto of Poggenpohl Boston is honored to be a regional winner in the Sub-Zero and Wolf Kitchen Design Contest. She will go on to the Best of the Best Winners' Summit and Gala in Scottsdale, Arizona, where the national winners will be announced in September. The regional winners were announced at An Evening to Remember, hosted by Clarke, New England's Official Sub-Zero & Wolf Showroom and Test Kitchen. Two other designers, Heather Kahler and David Hacin, were also honored.
