Last February 11th was marked by an evening event promoted the ASID New York Metro at the Poggenpohl Park Avenue Design Studio - the ASID New York Metro Chapter’s Twisted Mixer Event. An evening of networking and celebrating a mutual passion for design in honor of Valentine’s Day, which saw over 75 attendees, among which ASID members and industry partners.
An evening of reunions and with numerous surprises generously donated and well organized by the event partners De Gustibus Cooking School at Macy’s and Miele Appliances. Hors d'oeuvres circulated among the sophisticated Poggenpohl kitchens followed by specially prepared cocktails, while guests mingled and experienced the newly refurbished Poggenpohl studio, full of new trends and design novelties. There was also a special candy bar to sweeten the evening, which was long and buoyant.
The American Society of Interior Designer (ASID) is the oldest and largest professional organization for interior designers, with the largest residential and commercial membership. Poggenpohl’s Norman Glenn, London studio has recently spent an evening preparing a delicious four course dinner at interactive restaurant Aveqia. Hosted by Gaggenau, the event allowed the team to hone their culinary skills and finding some inspiration while preparing sophisticated gastronomic delicacies among which a beautiful foie gras ballotine, a delightful black leg chicken three ways and an exquisite chestnut parfait.
Under the guidance of an experienced chef, the design team got the opportunity to fully understand paradigms, requirements and benefits of a kitchen that requires perfection and organization in order to produce the most flawless and sophisticated culinary creations.

Around 180 participants have met last Friday November, 27 2015 in the historical hotel Schweizerhof, Luzern for the coveted symposium by the Poggenpohl Group Schweiz AG
Personalities from various sectors; politics, business and the entire real estate industry gathered to know all about the latest from the World of Poggenpohl, discussed and exchanged views about the housing market situation in Switzerland while enjoying the wonderful evening event especially prepared by the Poggenpohl Group in Switzerland.
Dr. Thomas Borer spoke about the political challenges in Switzerland as well as about its current situation and about the possible future scenarios during his speech. At the roundtable under the direction of the Tagesschau presenter Franz Fischlin participants discussed about the interest rates, politics and about the challenges in Switzerland, which resulted in heated discussions and exciting interactions with the public.
The second part of the event was marked by a more chill out atmosphere… While enjoying culinary delights accompanied by top cocktails prepared at the bar, guests also took the chance to try their luck at the gambling machines or dance on the dance floor. Last month, Poggenpohl celebrated the launch of the new P`7350 Desing by Porsche Design Studio in New York Downtown Studio, at Park Avenue with a special cocktail sponsored by Metropolis Magazine and Porsche Design Studio.
100 guests marked their presence at this outstanding event admiring the distinctive Poggenpohl kitchen design, punctuated with the latest fashions and collections of accessories, eyewear and timepieces by Porsche Design Studio, thus highlighting the outstanding sophisticated simplicity of the clean-lined made in Germany kitchens.
Metropolis Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Susan Szenasy led a talk about the kitchen’s unique design elements together with Roger Zierman, Studio Manager and Designer. The event also cherished the special participation of Gaggenau brand and the savouring of delicious appetizers accompanied with special signature cocktails.
An evening of luxury, as guests described it, in a space that pairs modernity with elegance, tradition with innovation, and where natural light is reflected on the translucent large windows, creating an interplay of perspectives between interior and exterior.

Poggenpohl Studios once again reminded how adherent, versatile and in vogue it is in welcoming parallel yet high-end events. This time, at St Albans, in London Road, during the evening of the 28th October, the launch of Grace Woodward's fashon items was celebrated, sponsored by St. Albans Fashion Week. For two craved hours the carefully selected exquisite collection of rare and fine clothing from Woodward's new luxury boutique Graceland - high fashion vintage shop – was debuted.
Grace wished to demonstrate on a one-on-one basis how to style key pieces and explained to the guests about this unique collection. Guests left knowing how to shop the catwalk, peruse fashion pieces and alongside felt and experienced the sophisticated simplicity of the various Poggenpohl kitchens.
With a specially selected assemble, Woodward brought designer names, highly sought after vintage pieces and showcased The Pretty Dress Company’s collaboration with Britain’s most famous showgirl, Immodesty Blaize. “We’ve never had designer brands like this come down the catwalk before and we’re just so excited to introduce Graceland this year.” says Ellena Ophira, SAFW director. Beauty Sponsors, Skin to Love Clinic and Bare Minerals were on hand to unveil the latest makeup trends and beauty treatments. A nail bar was present in the ample Poggenpohl Studio space, where party-goers added the finishing touches to their mini-makeovers.
Believed to be the best St. Albans Fashion week in three years, Poggenpohl set the perfect scene for a lovely evening, a highlight in the Fashion Week event.
To celebrate the new arrival of Graceland as an independent retail experience, Prosecco bar was served as well as gastronomic delicacies prepared by Blue Sage Catering cooked and prepared live on a Poggenpohl Studio Kitchen. It was an unforgettable event in the ideal venue.

Another brilliant edition of the St. Albans & Harpenden Food & Drink Festival took place last month with a memorable evening event at Poggenpohl outstanding studio. Here some moments...
Chefs from three top local restaurants: Tabure – a Turkish Kitchen Bar; Dylan’s @ King’s Arms - Craft Beer Fine Wine Modern British Gastro Pub; and Freddies - Modern European food restaurant with a distinctive taste of Mediterranean influence - cooked live a range of their gastronomic delicacies in the Poggenpohl kitchens at St. Albans Studio.
The chefs demonstrated, prepared and shared samples of seasonal delicacies accompanied by fabulous wine and signature cocktails served by Mokoko’s and Flagship Wines. The Poggenpohl Studio was once more a succesfull venue to host this multi-faceted event, allowing guests to appreciate the Germany-made kitchens, attractive on the outside, functional in the inside and the perfect space for preparing and cooking meals for family and friends.
The rich and sociable event culminated in a silent auction of local prizes all in aid of the Mayor, Cllr Salih Gaygusuz’s chosen charity, Keech Hospice Care, who had welcomed beforeh “It promises to be an extremely entertaining time, with lots of opportunities to sample wonderful food. The event is raising much-needed funds for Keech Hospice Care, the wonderful charity that provides specialist palliative care for children in St. Albans District and across Hertfordshire.” The Poggenpohl Studio provided an ample and comfortable space for each part of the evening where indeed marvellous food was cooked and relished in the best worldwide known kitchens.

Last month, Poggenpohl studio Nar Fine Cabinetry received a 2015 NARI CotY Judge’s Choice Award and won first place for a Residential Kitchen $60,001 to $100,000. NARI CotY Award winners represent some of the finest projects showcasing the excellence in remodeling projects in the greater Sacramento region. Designer Oliver Aden of Nar Fine Cabinetry also won Second Place honors for Small Kitchen Design in the prestigious NKBA 2015 Design Competition for Northern California.
The award-winning contemporary kitchen featuring a horizontal lava teak front replaced a kitchen that was partially blocked off from the family room and did not have a functional workflow. Relocating both the refrigerator and the sink, and removing walls allowed creating a more open kitchen design with a lot of easy-to access storage solutions and an ample countertop space.

Poggenpohl Studio in Georgetown presented its new P`7350 Design by Porsche Design Studio to around 60 selected attendees at an “Inside Look” event sponsored by Home & Design Magazine. A very pleasant evening event… and the presentation of the new P’7350 was a tremendous success. Among many uplifting adjectives in regards to the layout of the kitchen and the balanced choice of materials and colours, some have not spare praise to how the horizontal and vertical lines meet in this kitchen and thus create an unmistakable creative tension that is a pleasure to the eye.
During the event, the Home & Design Magazine revealed its newly published September/October issue and featured an ‘Inside Look’ of the work that Home & Design Magazine’s artisans, designers and architects created.

Last September 3rd, Poggenpohl in London was stage to one of the most delicious gastronomic events in the UK. The perfect scenery - in between the appealing clean lined kitchens, outstanding for its design as well as for its functionality and comfort – has led to a universe where taste is revealed in its many delicious nuances.
The event had the participation and support of renowned brands such as British Airways, Pure Granada, House & Garden, among many other including Poggenpohl. Through an enhanced selection of spiced chocolates from 100 hopeful entries, the judging panel, headed by Joanna Simon, wine & food editor at House & Garden magazine and will include members of the public alongside food journalists and industry insiders., has selected the very best of the best. Renowned chocolatier Paul A Young, who was a judge on last year's challenge, has created an official GBSCC 'sugar & spice' bar. A donation of £2 from each bar will go directly to The Trussell Trust, the challenge's charity for the second year running, and operators of the National Food Bank Service.
The event also featured a live show by The Spice Boys band, on a specially constructed stage among the beautiful Poggenpohl kitchens.
The evening ended with an after party for press and guests in the remarkable Fourth Wall kitchen by Poggenpohl and Electrolux Grand Cuisine with delightful nibbles provided by The Fine Cheese Company and Artisan Biscuits.
