The #DIFFA1.2 fundraiser event was held at the De Gustibus Cooking School.
A memorable evening that gathered in one single spot bloggers, interior designers among many other professionals from the design community to commemorate the 1.2 million birthdays that will be celebrated this current year by people living with HIV/AIDS thanks to the efforts of DIFFA, the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS.
Delicious appetizers especially prepared by a professional chef in the magnificent Poggenpohl kitchen at the De Gustibus Cooking School were accompanied by a fine wine selection and the sound of chilling ambient music.
DIFFA makes grants to organizations providing education and treatment for those living with HIV/AIDS, ensuring they have many more birthdays to come. Poggenpohl is proud to support such an amazing work.

Last week Poggenpohl invited a selected group of premier league footballers and their partners to its exclusive studio in Waterloo for a special dinner soirée among the fantastic kitchen concept The Fourth Wall.
Arriving at the event in chauffer driven Bentleys the guests were greeted with a glass of champagne before enjoying a comprehensive tour lead by Poggenpohl UK Managing Director Simon Richmond throughout the contemporary kitchens on display.
Andy Carroll, Winston Reid, Christian Eriksen, Joey O’Brien and their partners sat down at the amazing wooden table to enjoy a five mouth-watering course meal specially prepared by the Michelin star chef Simon Hulstone in the outstanding Fourth Wall kitchen concept, using the very latest Electrolux Grand Cuisine hi-tech appliances.
The conversation flew easily, with guests enjoying brixham crab, scallops with a parsnip puree, duckling braised with sweet onion and an elderflower tart accompanied by a nice selection of wine served at its ideal temperature. An absolute sensorial journey…

Poggenpohl had a presence at Grand Designs Live, held at the ExCel exhibition centre in London at the beginning of May.
A kitchen in Terra lacquer with a Lapitec ceramic worktop, Gaggenau appliances and a Zip boiling water tap was the main centre of attention to this magnificent stand. This kitchen featured a dining area with a bar concealed behind pocket doors… unexpected and unique.
Hundreds of visitors entered their contact details into a built-in touch screen, so they can get contacted after the exhibition to schedule a visit to their nearest Poggenpohl studio.
Poggenpohl has officially increased the number of Studios worldwide with the new opening of “Kitchen Choice” in Perth, Australia. An amazing event marked this new step in the history of the brand. Discover here a few special moments of the opening evening.
In March, Poggenpohl celebrated the official opening of “Kitchen Choice” in Perth Australia together with more than 120 guests, among which Perth’s most prestigious architects, designers and developers. This new space introduced the new P’7350 kitchen by Porsche Design studio - the star of the evening.

This event also counted with the special participation of Porsche Australia, Bang & Olufsen, Miele, CDK Stone, Franke, Mondolucci, Aurora Stone and GlassKote, which helped to make this evening even more special.
Poggenpohl Designs Three Stunning Contemporary Kitchens for Penthouse Suites at the Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas.
The Residences at Mandarin Oriental are comprised of three luxury penthouse suites situated at MGM CityCenter, in the heart of Las Vegas with stunning views of the strip. Poggenpohl designed three separate kitchen styles with each suite containing a unique and distinctive look all its own, including a high gloss white space with aluminum accents, a full stainless steel space with freestanding range and chimney hood, and a walnut wood veneer design complete with sleek smoky black glass accompaniments.

Common characteristics that led Poggenpohl and BMW to join forces and bring us an evening event that mainly aimed to celebrate the creative freedom - from the creating and customization process of a kitchen/car to the freedom one feels when using a BMW or a Poggenpohl… when time seems to stop, leaving the urban stress behind.
During the event, guests could feel and experience the sophisticated simplicity of the various Poggenpohl kitchens on display throughout the studio area as well as test drive the newest top BMW models, parked outside.
Chef Keri Aihinen – one of Finland’s finest chefs – prepared a deliciously tempting menu beautifully shaped around the idea “garden goes bubbles”, especially for the occasion. And, to complete the magic of the flavours and aromas, guests were served with a glass of Alfred Gratien from Henkel & Co Finland in the new Riedel champagne glass ‘Veritas’.
Another memorable event at the amazing Poggenpohl studio in Espoo, which has been a grand success since its grand opening one year ago.
Stacey Ballis new book is about a woman whose perfect life falls apart in spectacular fashion, leaving her with a house to restore, an antique cookbook (but no cooking talent) and one very unhappy schnauzer. Poggenpohl is stage to this amazing novel.
“You’re very talented. Is this Poggenpohl?” he says, caressing a cabinet reverently with long fingers, sliding a slim drawer open to reveal the knife rack within, pushing it closed with the slightest touch. I’m impressed. The high-end cabinetry company is simply a cut above, famous for both clean lines and an enormous range of organizational details. When Grant and I did the kitchen at our – I mean HIS – apartment, I turned him on to their stuff, and he was so impressed with both the look and the function that he insisted we use them again when we did this place. It was a huge investment on his part, and I thank god we did the kitchen first, since it will be a great selling feature and I would never have been able to afford it now.

Monday, March 24th was marked by a special event in Poggenpohl´s leading kitchen design studio. Award winning Poggenpohl Designers - New England Design Hall of Fame 2014 recipient, Rosemary Porto and Master Kitchen & Bath Designer, Kevin Briggs – introduced cutting edge trends and materials used in today’s kitchen design. In a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere, guests have also taken the opportunity to explore the newest in European kitchen cabinets, appliances and counters in Boston’s trendsetting studio on Newbury Street while enjoying a glass of wine and some light refreshments.
The 2nd Annual Boston Design Week featured more than 80 events throughout the Boston area. The “Boston Design Week” seeks to increase public awareness, foster recognition of the vital role design plays in our lives and bring new audiences to a wide array of design industries and organizations.”
April was marked by a few amazing gastronomic events throughout the world. Atlanta was no exception… Rediscover this event which took visitors on a journey of wonderful scents and amazing savours through the remarkable world of Poggenpohl.
Last week, Poggenpohl Atlanta opened its doors to a magnificent private event of gastronomy, co-hosted with the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival organization. The distinguished Chef Kevin Rathbun, known for his five restaurants in Atlanta and Food Network appearances, served southern fare infused with southwestern flavour, while the nationally recognized Chef Eric Wolitzky, of Top Chef Just Desserts, prepared delicious homemade turtle and strawberry pies.
Guests also enjoyed a special wine selection by the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival, as well as a signature cocktail created by Four Roses Bourbon, and Georgia’s own Wild Heaven Brewery.
This March, the amazing DeGustibus Cooking School in Macy’s Herald Square celebrated its 35th anniversary reopening. The colorful DG35 Media Event hosted over 220 guests. Discover here some highlights.
Poggenpohl recently joined in the celebration of the 35th anniversary re-opening of the De Gustibus Cooking School by Miele in Macy’s Herald Square. The colorful #DG35 Media Event hosted over 220 guests including various media outlets, celebrity chefs, friends, clients and partners of the cooking school.
Chef/Co-Owner Gabe Thompson of Epicurean Events provided delicious signature hors d’oeuvres along with perfectly paired wines courtesy of Banfi Wines. The #DG35 event continued through the night with music and dancing before ending with a delightful dessert selection; assorted cookies provided by Milk Bar NYC and a superb lemon olive oil cake courtesy of Chef Thiago Silva of the EMM Group.
The four-tiered cake was creatively decorated and modeled to look exactly like the Poggenpohl cabinetry featured in the demonstration kitchen at De Gustibus cooking School. And it did look absolutely authentic.
Among the most distinguished guests were Celebrity Chef Marc Murphy of The Food Network series Chopped, two-time Chopped winner James Briscione and Michelin starred Chef Markus Glocker of Batard Other event sponsors included Voss Water who provided a “wall of water” for the event, Solex fine foods and Robinson’s Prime Reserve. Urbani Truffles along with Illy Coffee and L ‘Occitane contributed to the gift bags.
Poggenpohl provided De Gustibus with a contemporary kitchen design for the cooking school’s grand re-opening in December. The fully transformed classroom and operational kitchen mixes a professional work environment with an intimate atmosphere. Poggenpohl’s cabinetry and shelving offer warmth and a cotemporary style while providing innovative ways to maximize space.
