In October Poggenpohl hosted in its St. Albans studio the Mayor’s charity evening event as part of the St. Albans and Harpenden Food & Drink Festival 2017. Around 30 guests were invited to be part of this wonderful evening in which chefs from local culinary establishments prepared in a functional Poggenpohl kitchen an exquisite three course vegetarian meal.

Behind the gorgeous Island that comprises the showcased functional kitchen, making use of a Miele hob, local restaurant “Dylans” prepared delicious mushrooms on toast served with a quails egg and hollandaise sauce. The Great Northern followed, demonstrating guests how to prepare perfect cheese filled tortellini and finally a team from Oaklands College, presented a trio of delicious desserts with a mango mousse, mini carrot cake and chocolate decadence.

Revenues from the preceding ticket sale were donated to the charity Youth Talk which helps young people with mental health issues.
