The Outside Sales Designer is a brand ambassador for Poggenpohl; responsible for driving sales by generating and developing new client relationships and providing excellent customer service. An outside sales designer will listen to client’s needs to create the perfect design solution for each project. You will seek out and develop new client relationships with architects, interior designers, builders and end users to strengthen and expand client base. The Outside Sales Designer will travel within the Atlanta market to secure new clients through office visits, attending industry events, hosting showroom events and networking within the design community. As an outside luxury sales designer, you will go the extra mile to ensure our client’s complete satisfaction.

Outside Sales Designer

Location: Atlanta
Reports to: Atlanta Showroom Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Generate new Leads to drive and grow sales within the Atlanta market
  • Meet/exceed assigned sales and order intake goals
  • Provide design solutions to maximize full project potential 
  • Create kitchen (and other room) designs with information collected from clients 
  • Measure interior spaces accurately for designing and ordering cabinets
  • Schedule and conduct meetings and presentations with clients
  • Remain the central point of contact for the client from start of project to completion
  • Work with technical designer and project manager to provide the best design and client experience throughout project
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors Participate in project milestone site visits
  • Represent the company as a brand ambassador at various functions
  • Review drawings and orders to ensure accurate and complete delivery of order for installation
  • Host events offsite and in the Atlanta showroom
  • Utilize social media to grow business and brand recognition
  • Partner with Atlanta Showroom team to ensure studio operations run effectively and efficiently 
  • Provide showroom coverage when necessary

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years of sales and design experience with a proven track record of driving sales
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design 
  • Preferred High-end retail experience a plus

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of interior design space planning and residential construction
  • Attention to detail with strong presentation skills
  • Present in a professional manner and enjoy connecting with new people
  • Represent the company and brand with integrity at all times
  • Ability to read architectural plans and prepare drawings for design presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Highly organized, able to manage all aspects of project
  • High-end retail sales experience a plus
  • Have a positive attitude and enjoy helping and serving clients 
  • Possess good time management skills to meet deadlines 
  • Must be a proactive problem solver 
  • Must have a car and valid drivers license 
  • Design and Computer skills including hand drafting, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
