+SEGMENTO Y – when black, white and grey start to speak to each other
With +SEGMENTO Y, Poggenpohl is creating a stunning reinterpretation of a current collection and opening it up to young target groups. The kitchens being presented at the Küchenmeile A30 premiere are matt instead of glossy, with graphic accents or a free mix of white, black and grey areas.
Herford, Germany 15th September 2018. White is the colour of silence, a non sound. Black is mysterious, modest and arrogant. Grey is the new white and black at the same time. It is more than just a fashion. It makes the world in us and around us more orderly and calm.
Poggenpohl exhibits something new and unusual at Küchenmeile A30 by presenting +SEGMENTO Y, a fresh, reinterpretation of the +SEGMENTO collection. A kitchen that wants nothing but can do everything. Whose exact to the centimetre fittings to the floor and ceiling join spaces into a coherent whole. With matt surfaces that give the entire ensemble contemporary modernness and do not show up fingerprints as unsightly kitchen tattoos.
The kitchens being exhibited at the in-house exhibition in Herford for Küchenmeile A30 are being shown strictly monochrome but also in the combination of black and white or grey and white. Special effects are created, for example, by contrasting handles. As if 1960s’ futurism had left its mark here. +SEGMENTO Y is being presented in different combinations. Numerous design options are revealed for customers with a bit of imagination.
There’s also something else that makes the new range so remarkable: Poggenpohl is very clearly and decisively opening up to younger target groups with it. Gernot Mang, Poggenpohl CEO comments: “Luxury can be found in different price segments today. Why shouldn’t younger people benefit from our company’s quality and design accomplishments. +SEGMENTO Y also gives retail the chance to appeal to new groups of buyers with a new aesthetic concept and cater to customers’ personal requirements once again through the trio of colours. Creating something new out of something that exists is efficient and sustainable at the same time.”
