Trainee Designer – Wigmore / UK

We are looking to recruit a Trainee Sales Designer to work within the Design teams across our six UK studios. This is an entry-level position, Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be given, however successful candidates will possess a strong commitment to quickly learning the role, with an enthusiastic approach to hard work. This role provides the individual with an excellent opportunity to progress as a Sales Designer within the business.

Tasks:

• Supporting the design team with meeting preparation
• Drawing up kitchen designs using Winner
• Preparing documentation for clients; contracts, quotes signatory forms etc.
• Greet and look after prospective clients in the studio
• Answering the telephone, dealing with internal and external customers
• Liaising with other members of the department / team leader and manager
• Keeping up to date with new procedures and products
• Ordering and managing samples and any studio requirements
• Attend client briefing meeting to assist Studio Manager/Senior Designer
• Work with central marketing team on advertising/ events for the studio
• Attend supplier appliance training days as necessary (approx. 3-4 p/annum)

Qualifications

• Able to communicate confidently with people at all levels
• Self-motivated and willing to work as part of a dynamic team
• Able to work under pressure to maintain deadlines
• Computer literate
• Excellent organisational and written and numerical skills
• Excellent timekeeping and time management skills
• Some experience working on design software or design related qualifications would be preferred
• A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above

Fulltime:

Mon – Friday 9am to 5.30pm ad hoc Saturday working with day in lieu in the week.
