Award-winning Poggenpohl kitchens

Herford, February 2024 | People are at the centre of planning when Poggenpohl's architects develop bespoke solutions for individual living spaces in their own studios or in specialist stores. Each kitchen design is unique and plays with the surrounding architecture in an unmistakable way. In 2023, some of the plans not only impressed customers with their outstanding design, but also the juries of the TIDA Award, the SBID Award and the German Design Award.

Artful elegance in Melbourne, Australia The newly designed kitchen presents itself in a harmonious symbiosis of design and individual aesthetics with cabinets from the +SEGMENTO design concept, which shine in shimmering fir green. A generous cooking island becomes the centrepiece of culinary experiences. Equipped with high-quality appliances that meet the standards of a professional kitchen, every moment in this room is an exquisite and unforgettable experience. The natural Aquarzo stone in soft and harmonious shades of green and grey adorns both the generous work surfaces and the floating cabinets, which flow seamlessly into the adjoining living area. Accents in opal grey round off the overall picture. The colour palette not only reflects the clients' preference for bold colours, but also lends the kitchen a touch of opulence and timeless elegance. This kitchen has won the recognition of the TIDA jury for its outstanding design and was recognised as the winner of the "Australia Imported Kitchen of the Year 2023" award. The kitchen was designed by Poggenpohl Melbourne c/o Pepper Design.

Architectural excellence in nature – redesigning a country estate in the UK The planners at Poggenpohl Hampstead have completed an extensive renovation project in a listed country house. They took the unique opportunity to create a kitchen with the +SEGMENTO concept that combines elegance, functionality and timeless design. To create a culinary oasis for passionate chefs, exquisite materials were selected with the utmost care and innovative functions were integrated into the design. The cabinet fronts with finishes in champagne aluminium and sand grey matt lacquer, exude a contemporary grace that perfectly complements the rustic charm of the building. The team at the studio in Hampstead won the prestigious SBID Awards in the KBB UK category with this design.

Luxurious living between modernity and history in Prague, Czech Republic This flat presents itself with a unique view of Prague Castle. The planners' vision picks up on this aspect and translates it into an exquisite design composition – always focussing on the view of the city and countryside. Every element of the selected interior design blends seamlessly into the overall concept. An elegant atmosphere was created with a soft colour palette characterised by beige and brown tones and subtly complemented by discreet colour accents. Components from the +SEGMENTO design concept include an elegant bar concealed behind sophisticated pocket doors. The highest quality materials and brands were selected. The kitchen is presented in the matt colour Pebble Gray and features a worktop made of exquisite Taj Mahal quartzite.

The unrivalled elegance of this kitchen was honoured with the German Design Award in the Interior Architecture category. The jury's reasoning: "The exclusively equipped flat impresses with its tasteful combination of high-quality materials and surfaces, which harmonise perfectly with the exquisite, timelessly elegant furniture."
