Poggenpohl Atlanta proudly held a Houzz University on May 17th with nearly 40 designers attending two educational workshops. Houzz University is an interactive hands-on workshop initiated by the Houzz experts to help users take their professional profile to the next level.
The workshops included new tools that will help designers communicate with clients, how to manage online presence and reputation and also how to leverage Houzz on user websites and social media pages.
On April, 16th Poggenpohl Atlanta co-hosted a private event with the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival organization. Guests were treated to dinner prepared by Chef Kevin Rathbun and dessert by Chef Eric Wolitzky. Chef Rathbun, known for his five restaurants in Atlanta and Food Network appearances, served southern fare infused with southwestern flavor. Chef Wolitzky, of Top Chef Just Desserts, served up homemade turtle and strawberry pies. Guests enjoyed wine selections by the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival, a signature cocktail created by Four Roses Bourbon, and Georgia's own Wild Heaven Brewery.Read more about Atlanta Food & Wine Festival

On October 7, 2014, Poggenpohl was a sponsor for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Georgia Chapter's Storytellers event. This is a long-standing yearly ASID GA event that features six member speakers in a Pecha Kucha format, with two residential designers, two commercial designers, and two industry partners. Alison Weidner of Poggenpohl Atlanta has been the event chair for the last two years. The Storytellers event is held at The Estate and Gardens, a former plantation house circa 1797 that was moved brick by brick from rural Georgia to the heart of Buckhead, and hosts 250 to 300 guests for this yearly celebration of Atlanta's top design talent.Read more about ASID Storytellers 2014
Over fifty members of the Atlanta design community gathered at the Sub-Zero Wolf showroom on September 16, 2014 to participate in a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) and Modern Round Table program sponsored by Poggenpohl Atlanta. Alison Weidner of Poggenpohl presented the European Kitchen Fundamentals CEU and John Coulter, also of Poggenpohl, was a panelist for the Modern Round Table along with Willem Stear of Tonic Design Studio and Aaron Gentry of tvsdesign.
