Founded in 1892 in the heart of Germany, Poggenpohl is the oldest and best-known kitchen brand in the world. From that day to this, we have followed the vision of our founder, Friedemir Poggenpohl, who set out to ‘improve the kitchen’.
For more than 120 years, Poggenpohl has continued to ‘improve the kitchen’, transforming it from a humble backroom into a living space that’s at the heart of the home. Our pioneering history includes many firsts, including white lacquer kitchen furniture, ergonomic work-top heights, and the development of the kitchen island.

A global network
Poggenpohl kitchens are sent from our factory in Herford, Germany to more than 70 countries around the world. We work with over 450 Poggenpohl studios, whose skilled designers share our values and are able to translate their customers’ visions of an ideal kitchen into reality.

Twenty-nine manufacturers who have come together under the umbrella of the marketing association A30 Küchenmeile e.V. and jointly represent two thirds of total sales in the German kitchen furniture industry.
The exhibitors along the kitchen mile have committed themselves to inviting their partners in trade and industry to visit them every year in September. The aim is not only to provide information about the current design trends in the field of kitchen furniture, appliances, sinks and accessories, but likewise to deal with the critical questions and constructive suggestions of their customers.
